Give your kids a healthy snack option after school.
COMING UP SOON:
The Community Outreach Committee would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the BAMS students and parents who embraced the opportunity to make MLK Day 2018 a day of serving their community.
BAMS students spent the first part of the day hosting the Hope Brunch with the Montclair Emergency Shelter for the Homeless (MESH). They did a wonderful job welcoming and serving our guests. We were able to provide 45 Hope Bags (winter care packages) to MESH clients because of the amazing generosity of our BAMS families who donated dozens of new blankets, gloves, hats, socks and toiletry items.
Our BAMS students also helped to sort food items and fill backpacks for Toni’s Kitchen Healthy Backpack Outreach Program. The Director mentioned how impressed she was by their eagerness to help and their very thoughtful questions.
In freezing temperatures, a terrific group of our BAMS students collected food donations for Toni’s Kitchen Healthy Backpack Outreach Program. They were able to deliver 3 full carloads of much needed food to this program that helps to support children in need.
Lastly, our BAMS students participated in recreational activities at Gates Manor with the senior residents who loved their enthusiasm.
We would also like to recognize Raquel Wall, Nina Guercio and Janine Gillott for serving as site leaders and helping to support our students’ efforts on this very important day.
