A Message from the Principal
Best Practice of the Week

Let’s give a big SHOUT-OUT to YOU!!!! The learning curves just keep coming. I thank you all for your patience. During these uncharted times, it has not been easy making decisions and securing answers regarding some of our most crucial topics. However, and despite it all, you have been committed to virtual learning. Thank you for juggling your personal challenges (working from home, kids at home, grandparents and other family members that need support, etc.) and maintaining a sense of optimism and positive feedback regarding our teachers’ efforts. Mr. Adamo and I visit every classroom every day and we see the efforts of your children and your support of them! We will continue to assess and adjust.

WEEK of MARCH 23 - 27

Aesthetics for the week of March 23 will be B-Day classes. Parents/Caregivers, please remember that your children need to check in with their aesthetic teachers each day. They won’t be asked to do a tremendous amount of work, but ALL teachers are responsible for attendance documentation (not just the math, ELA, science, & S.S. teachers).

Annie Play Production

A huge round of applause to all those who helped us make this year's production of Annie a tremendous success! It was truly inspiring to see the Hillside and Montclair Public Schools community come together in support of our student cast and crew. From the tireless support of our parent volunteers who remained dedicated to the production despite not being able to view their children perform in person, to the zero hour efforts of our Administrators and IT Department to make sure the live stream happened, to the teachers performing their very technical backstage jobs flawlessly, to the small but powerful band of teachers who came to fill the nearly empty house with the cheers of hundreds (seriously - people watching said it sounded like the house was full!): you helped our students feel supported and celebrated and proved the true meaning of "the show must go on." The student cast and crew did a spectacular job of pulling out all the stops and wowing our audience - even when they were as far away as California! Everyone who touched the show, even a little bit, should feel very proud. Bravo, bravo, bravissimo!
