Be the Change – Volunteer for 2022-23
The Montclair PTA Council (PTAC) is a central PTA body made up of elected officers representing all the schools in the district. Montclair PTAC’s mission is to support all 11 PTAs in the Montclair Public Schools and advocate for issues that cut across all the schools. Montclair PTAC interfaces with the Superintendent, Central Office, Board of Education, teachers, families and multiple organizations that are involved with the school system.
Along with the PTA Presidents, Montclair PTAC is made up of seven Standing Committees:
- Communications
- Community Engagement
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
- Education and Special Education
- Finance and Infrastructure
- Health and Safety
- Technology
The committees are a great forum to work on high impact issues to enhance our district and our children’s education. We are looking for motivated volunteers with ideas to create solutions. This is a high-profile opportunity to make an impact and bring about lasting change.
The time commitment to work in any of these groups is about a couple of hours a week. As part of these groups, you will be among a dedicated group of people who care deeply about our school district, public education in general, and are part of the solution!
We are also looking for social media gurus to help manage PTAC’s social media and volunteers for the National PTA’s Reflections Program.
Please fill the PTAC volunteer interest form indicating your interest and join us!
