Happy Holidays 2020!
Happy Holidays to our amazing CHB community! We made it this far. We made it together.
We all need a break, enjoy it, get away from those screens, go for a walk, play in the snow, be kind to each other, do something nice for a stranger, and be safe till we all meet again.
See you in 2021!
Warm Regards,
Your CHB PTA

What is Dyslexia?
You are invited to join the Montclair Parent Teacher Association Council (PTAC) and the Montclair Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) for A Forum on Dyslexia on Thursday, January 7th, 2021, 6:30-8 pm. This panel will feature Norma Francullo, Esq., Dee Rosenberg (M.A., LDT/C), Susan E. Miller (M.A., LDT/C), and Marcos Vargas (Dir. of Humanities, Montclair Public Schools).
- Dyslexia is a condition that makes it difficult for a person to connect letters with sounds. This can cause problems with reading, spelling, pronunciation, learning a second language, and other tasks.
Did you know that…
- Signs of dyslexia can appear as early as preschool.
- Dyslexia affects 20% of the population and represents 80-90% of all those with learning disabilities. Most people with dyslexia do NOT write letters and words backwards.
- Dyslexia is lifelong and cannot be cured, BUT with early screening, diagnosis, intervention, and accommodations, people with dyslexia can become very successful learners!
