                          A few reminders…

Our End-of-Year Family Picnic
is tomorrow, June 24 @6pm

This year we are putting the grills aside and ordering sandwiches. Bring your blankets and reusable water bottles and get ready to hang with friends. We will have water on site, but we’re trying to reduce waste which is why we are asking families to bring reusable water bottles from home.

Envelope Fundraiser Update
Thanks to everyone who has donated.
We are close to meeting our goal and are accepting donations here through June 28.
CHB is eligible for matching gifts via 3rd party providers like Benevity. If you work for Google or a major bank, consider getting your gift matched.

                  MONTCLAIR KIDS NEWS

It’s been a productive year for the Montclair Kids Newsproject. In collaboration with parent volunteers and PTAs, the MKN helped to launch journalism classes via the after-school enrichment programs at Bradford, Bullock, Hillside and Northeast. Via our partnership with the Montclair Local, we published dozens of articles on the weekly Kids Newspage (plus essays, reviews, cartoons, puzzles, creative writing, vaccination snapshots, a recipe for chicken drumsticks, and more). There was even an interview withGov. Murphy.
This summer, the Kids News page will be going on hiatus, but before we break, we are still seeking submissions for our year-end contributors’ page. Basically we are looking for photos and quick answers to a couple of questions. Kids can submit their answers via this google form. Deadline is June 28, aka the last day of school.

Getting Involved with the CHB PTA

If you would like to get involved with the PTA over the summer (to lead a committee or plan an event early in the school year, for example), please contact incoming president Shira at presidents@bullockpta.org anytime.
