Edgemont School’s PTA is hosting Blue Notes for Green Dollars on Sunday Nov 17th from 4-7pm at The Loft. This is an adults-only fall fundraiser featuring music, refreshments, and a Silent Auction open to attendees online and in person. Do you have or know of any leads for merchandise, gift cards, or services to donate to our silent auction? Some favorite items in the past have been weekend stays at an airbnb or tickets to sports games. Photography and artwork by Edgemont parents are also a hit!  As a registered 501(c)(3) charity, you will receive an acknowledgement letter of your donation for tax purposes.  To donate, click here or email fundraising@edgemontpta.org.

Last year’s event generated more than $17K for our school, and we are hoping to raise even more this year!  All funds raised go toward our elementary student community, supporting families in need with after school enrichment classes, supplies, food for the holidays; teacher grants for supplies and training; and our school-wide special events such as Harvest Day, Halloween Mash, and Fun Day.

Election Day is fast approaching and with it comes our biggest bake sale of the year!

Edgemont is a polling location which makes for a great opportunity to sell our delicious wares to hungry voters along with Edgemont families. We are looking to start off the morning with an array of breakfast foods such as bagels, muffins and pastries. Then comes the biggest sellers of the day with savory items, soups, and anything else that will help make family dinner easy and delicious. If cooking and baking aren’t your thing, you can help out with paper goods, water bottles or boxes of coffee.

Donations can be dropped off at 8 Bruce Road starting on Monday, 11/4 until 7:00pm and at the site on Tuesday, 11/5 at 6:30am.

Next Friday is our Hispanic Heritage Celebration and we need volunteers to help set up, run the food table and clean up. Click here to sign up!

The school supply lists for each grade are up on the Edgemont home page  – click here to find yours! All of the school supply lists are also uploaded and available for purchase on Yubbler here. Yubbler provides a revenue share to the PTA, which helps support the events and programming we offer.

We’d also like to share an upcoming local event hosted by Essex County – for information click here – the first 700 attendees receive free school supplies!

If your family needs help purchasing school supplies, there will be a formal email sent out next week from our principal with instructions on how to apply for assistance.
