Please make sure your child’s health screening form is filled out on the Genesis Parent Portal under the message center every morning, by 830AM, that your child attends in person.

Picture Day is here! All Mounties will have their pictures taken during the school day on May 25. All Bulldogs will have their pictures taken during the school day on May 27.

HIllside Drama Fundraiser

Are you a Starbucks Star, or perhaps a Dunkin’ Donuts Diva? Are you an Amazon All-Star? How about Walmart Wizard or Kohls King? If you’ve said yes to any of the questions above, then have we got the perfect  fundraiser for you.

 

The businesses mentioned above are only 4 of the over 750 brands that are participating in our Hillside Drama Program fundraiser! With this fundraiser, you can purchase a gift card to your favorite businesses while also helping the Hillside Drama Department to raise funds for their yearly productions.

 

Just follow these few short, and easy, steps:

Without spending any extra money you will be able to help the Hillside Drama Department earn funds to keep their productions going strong. PTA/SATp meeting and Proposed 2021-2022 PTA Board Slate

Thank you all who attended our PTA meeting yesterday. The Nominating Committee presented the below slate of nominees for the 2021-2022 PTA Board. At the following PTA meeting on June 10th, we will hold a general election for the recommended slate. The time in between meetings will allow any interested parties to notify the Nominating Committee (nominatingcommittee@hillsidepta.org)

of a desire to run for one of the below positions in the general election (known as “Nominees from the floor”). 1 position remains open, Co-VP of Events, we invite interested parties to self-nominate or recommend candidates by emailing our Nominating Committee.

Hillside Bookfair – Last Day tomorrow, 5/15

The Hillside Book Fair is closed today 5/14. We will reopen for the last day tomorrow, Sat 5/15 at 10am-2pm. Please use Door K facing the school parking lot to enter the building. MASKS REQUIRED. This year we are also offering a virtual shopping option where you can email your order, then come to the Fair to pay and pick-up. Details are in the attached flyer. Hillside PTA Annual Appeal

Now that many have re-entered the school building, our needs and opportunities as a PTA are shifting again so our approach has to shift to an annual appeal and we need your help.   We are looking to our wonderful Hillside community for support for the following key events:

* Our free Peer Socialization Clubs have launched and we would love to be able to support reimbursement of club supplies purchased by the parent volunteers running these clubs.

* We would like to celebrate our 5th graders “stepping up” as festively and boisterously as we can under state and district guidelines.

I want to thank you for all your patience and support over the past month!  I know it gets crazy balancing everything!. I appreciate the honesty I received and the patience given as we work through our safe  return together.

Parents and guardians,  I want to remind you if your child has an injury and received medical treatment, I need our medical injury form filled out by their doctor upon the student’s return to school. Have a great weekend!  Nurse Boyle
