PTA Announcements:
PTA meeting this Tuesday on Zoom: Our next General PTA meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd at 7 pm via Zoom. We’ll have guest speakers from the Montclair Scholarship Fund sharing more about their scholarship opportunities, and Ms. Williams will be speaking about a new student travel opportunity in Italy. Upcoming Events Double Good fundraiser: There will be a Double Good Popcorn fundraiser Feb 1-5 for junior and senior classes to raise money for their respective proms. Links to the sales will be provided closer to the start of the sale.
Junior/Senior Parent Meet and Greet: HS Junior and Senior Parents and Guardians are invited to join the MHS PTA VPs Kim Mays 2025 and Donna Montague 2024 for a Meet and Greet Thursday, February 1st 5:30-9pm at Just Jake’s 30 Park Street, Montclair (front meeting room located inside the door to the right). Come join us for some tasty treats and great conversation. There will be a cash bar. We will update you on some items we are assisting the junior and senior class advisor, Ms. Harrison with. We also felt this would be a great opportunity to bring parents and caregivers together for support,resources and a couple hours out of the house. Between college applications for senior and junior packets we all are experiencing many big life events!
BUY YOUR TICKETS: The MHS PTA will hold our first-ever Casino Night at the Montclair Art Museum on Friday, February 16th, 7-11 pm. This adults-only fundraiser promises to be an event not to be missed. Join us for delicious food and drinks, a DJ and dancing, while you roll the dice with lady luck. Early Bird Tickets are on sale now here. Prices will increase after January 23rd!
Note that there are two ticket levels – you can purchase your own ticket, but you can also SPONSOR a ticket to cover the cost of a MHS teacher/staff member attending. Teachers and staff will be able to attend at no-cost to them. We aim to make this an inclusive and fun parent event for all MHS families, so if ticket cost is a financial hardship for your family, please reach out confidentially to Mr. Freeman at jfreeman@montclair.k12.nj.us for free or lower cost ticket options.
All funds raised will support MHS beautification projects, the Montclair Scholarship Fund, and the PTA. Please email info@mhs-pta.org if you’d like to assist in the planning, as we will need many volunteers to make this night a success!

Be sure to stay for the amazing acrobatics of the Lion Dancers and sleight of hand from the Face Changer. Invite your friends and family to celebrate Lunar New Year with us!
