PTA Announcements: Come join us for a Meet and Greet with junior and senior parents/caregivers Thursday, February 1 at Just Jake’s 5:30-9pm. Stop by whenever you can! Take a break from application submissions, junior packet and decompress from midterm stress. Also get to meet up with parents to exchange information and get reacquainted.

Classes of 2024 and 2025 Doublegood Popcorn Prom Fundraiser
The Junior and Senior classes will be having a Doublegood Popcorn Fundraiser starting 5pm on February 1st 5pm and ending 5pm on February 5th. The funds from this fundraiser will go towards prom expenses for both classes. Please make sure to share the following class links with family and friends.

SECRETARY NEEDED!
Want to be more involved and learn more about MHS? We have an immediate need for a Secretary to join the PTA Executive Board. The time commitment involves attending one Executive Board and one general PTA meeting each month, and taking minutes at these meetings. If interested, please email the PTA Presidents at ptapres@mhs-pta.org.
BUY YOUR TICKETS: The MHS PTA will hold our first-ever Casino Night at the Montclair Art Museum on Friday, February 16th, 7-11 pm. This adults-only fundraiser promises to be an event not to be missed. Join us for delicious food and drinks, a DJ and dancing, while you roll the dice with lady luck. There will be both cash and non-cash prizes for our high rollers! Buy your tickets here before they sell out!
Note that there are two ticket levels – you can purchase your own ticket, but you can also SPONSOR a ticket to cover the cost of a MHS teacher/staff member attending. Teachers and staff will be able to attend at no-cost to them. We aim to make this an inclusive and fun parent event for all MHS families, so if ticket cost is a financial hardship for your family, please reach out confidentially to Mr. Freeman at jfreeman@montclair.k12.nj.us for free or lower cost ticket options.
All funds raised will support MHS beautification projects, the Montclair Scholarship Fund, and the PTA.

********************************************************************************** Upcoming Events: Trying to get in community service hours? Read on!
Our next Fun Friday event on Friday, February 23 from 2:30 – 3:30 pm will feature a community service fair with local non-profit organizations that want our students’ help and can offer volunteer hours. Please let your students know to attend. Seniors – some local non-profits will also have opportunities for Seniors wishing to complete their Career Internship Program (CIP/Senior Option) with them. |

There will be lots of opportunities for events, volunteer work, and service to our community. Have ideas?
