TWO DAYS AND COUNTING!

Ticket Sales will close at 11:59 pm on Thursday, February 15. There will be NO TICKETS available at the door:

The MHS PTA will hold our first-ever Casino Night at the Montclair Art Museum on Friday, February 16th, 7-11 pm.

This adults-only fundraiser promises to be an event not to be missed. Join us for delicious food and drinks, a DJ and dancing, while you roll the dice with lady luck. There will be both cash and non-cash prizes for our high rollers! Buy your own tickets (or sponsor a ticket for a staff member) here before they sell out!

Upcoming Events:

MARK YOUR STUDENT’S CALENDAR FOR THIS AMAZING NEW EVENT!!

Our first-ever Community Service Fair on Friday, February 23 from 2:45 – 3:45 pm will feature OVER 25 local non-profit organizations that want our students’ help and can offer volunteer hours. Please let your students know to attend.

Seniors – some local non-profits will also have opportunities for Seniors wishing to complete their Career Internship Program (CIP/Senior Option) with them.

In Case You Missed It! (ICYMI)

• The Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE) will be hosting a FREE Life After High School Conference for students and caregivers on Saturday, Feb 24. For more details and to register, go here.
• Prom dates have been announced. Details will be released soon from the school:
  • Junior Prom will be held on Thursday, April 25.
  • Senior Prom will be held on Tuesday, May 28
• Last week, MHS School Counseling gave a wonderful presentation about scheduling for the 2024-25 school year. You can watch the recording here. A must watch for every Freshmen to Junior family!
• Senior families: The MHS Career Internship Program is scheduled to begin on May 20, 2024. A mandatory senior meeting is set for March 13, 2024, at 9 am in the auditorium. All students must attend this meeting to receive information and necessary paperwork for the CIP. The MHS Class of 2024 CIP timeline is linked. Please review it carefully and bring any questions to the senior meeting or see Mrs. Alsina during lunch in the LGI or Main Cafeteria. • SAVE THE DATE: Sophomore Movie Night will be held on Friday, March 15. Have your students be on the lookout for the movie options voting!

Nominating Committee: The PTA Executive Board will need to fill several positions for the 2024-25 school year as officers’ terms of service expire. We need to gather a Nominating Committee to start the process of choosing the officer slate. YOU can be a crucial voice in shaping the PTA. No experience needed. Please reach out to ptapres@mhs-pta.org if you are interested in serving on this committee.

Join the PTA! We would love to have you join us — parents, teachers/staff, students, and community members are all welcome! There will be lots of opportunities for events, volunteer work, and service to our community. Have ideas?
