The SPRING FLING Freshman/Sophomore Dance IS FINALLY HERE! As we round the corner toward the big day, we want to address key questions we’ve already fielded and some we anticipate students (and families) might have. If there is something we missed, please send your request to info@pta-mhs.org. Will there be enough room? We’ll be using the large gym which can hold the entire freshman and sophomore class – capacity is not a concern. How can I buy a ticket? Tickets are currently on sale and will be sold until Wednesday, June 5th at midnight. There are dance posters up around school with a QR code where you can buy tickets or use this link – https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/d04522f0-91dd-4069-aeaf-1f79c01fb553.
Will tickets be sold at the door? We will not be selling tickets at the door. Selling tickets in advance allows us to plan food, drinks, and chaperones accordingly. And, simply checking tickets at the door will allow us to ensure a more efficient entry for students. Who can volunteer leading up to the dance and how? We need lots of hands to make this dance a success so please volunteer and bring a friend! You can sign up here – https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0C4BA5A722A4F85-49533260-2024?useFullSite=true#/ – students and adults – are needed before the dance to help with decorations and set-up. Adult volunteers are needed during and after the dance to welcome students, manage food and drinks, and clean-up. How/where do I pick up tickets? Your email confirmation from your ticket purchase is your receipt. Your student will need the unique QR code from the email. If you can’t find your confirmation, email us at info@mhs-pta.org. Worst case, we can look up your ticket using the name/email address used to purchase it. What kind of music will the DJ play? The DJ will play a variety of popular music. You can make sure you hear your song by submitting songs for the DJ to add to their rotation. What’s the attire for the Freshman/Sophomore dance? The dance is nice-casual but that means different things to different people. This is meant to be a fun night and we want students to come dressed in what makes them feel good. Can I bring a date? You may bring a date as long as they are an MHS freshman or sophomore student. However, dates are not required. Coming with friends or even on your own works, too! Do I have to bring my MHS ID? What if I forget it? Administrators will be checking IDs at the door and having yours will get you into the dance faster. If you don’t have an ID or you forget it, you can log into your student page on Genesis and show that as proof of your MHS student status. Do I have to stay at the dance until the end? You don’t have to stay at the dance until the end of the night, however, if you leave, you will not be allowed back into the school. This is for security reasons and there will be no exceptions. Will there be food? Definitely! There will be heavy finger foods (e.g., empanadas, mozzarella sticks, etc.) that are tasty and easy to eat. We’ll also have drinks and desserts so all you have to worry about is arriving, having fun, and getting home safely. Everything else is covered! |
In Case You Missed It! (ICYMI)
