Homecoming 2024, HOCO Carnival

HOMECOMING 2024

The Homecoming Carnival was an incredibly fun night! We could not have
succeeded without the fantastic support of the Student Event Planning Committee, the Parent/Caregiver Planning Committee, the MHS administrators and staff, and the Student Coalition. These groups worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring the students’ vision of a fun HoCo Carnival to life. Thank you to the fantastic MHS community of volunteers! We appreciate everyone who contributed, whether you were buying tickets, playing skee ball, climbing ladders, or getting covered in cotton candy!

The student volunteers collaborated seamlessly to ensure a fun and memorable night for their peers. Their creativity and positive energy were genuinely inspiring. We also extend our gratitude to the Student Coalition for designing the fantastic Homecoming poster and marketing the event. Furthermore, we want to acknowledge the largest Student Planning Committee to date; each member did an outstanding job, from brainstorming the theme to executing it. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the seniors who have led this committee since its inception in 2022: Ella Holmes, Rex Uhlfelder, Hannah Cherkin, Tyler Beecham, Harry Poglinco, and Jacqlyn Kirk. We appreciate all your hard work!

LET’S BAND TOGETHER / MHS BAND

The Montclair High School band program has a long and rich tradition of cheering on our sports teams and amplifying school spirit with music! Unfortunately, enrollment in instrumental music programs fell during the pandemic when students weren’t able to practice and play together. But with the help of enthusiastic students, teachers and community supporters, the band is rebuilding!
Montclair has a talented, energetic group of 35 young musicians who are taking the Mighty Mounties Marching Band back to the field! These students are working hard at practice and performances multiple days per week, but they need new uniforms, instruments, instrument repair, field equipment, and music. In the future, they’d love to extend from football into basketball season as a pep band, perform at spring competitions, and potentially build out a color guard. Help the Mighty Mounties Marching Band build community and make music. Donate today!
