HELP PLAN THE FRESHMAN / SOPHOMORE SPRING EVENT!

We have an exciting opportunity for students to earn some volunteer hours while making a difference at our upcoming Freshman-Sophomore Spring Event on April 4th! We are looking for 2-4 students to lead the planning committee and a group of 20 or more volunteers to help bring the event to life. There will be many tasks to accomplish, such as brainstorming a theme, designing and distributing posters, creating props in advance, and decorating the gym on the day of the event. We plan to meet 3-4 times before the event, with our first meeting tentatively scheduled for February 12th at dismissal in the cafeteria. If you want to volunteer but cannot join the planning committee, stay tuned—more opportunities are coming! Please volunteer via SignUp Genius.

Parents and Caregivers! Mark your calendars for a MHS PTA fundraiser on March 28 from 7:00 -10:00 p.m. at Porta and help the PTA raise funds for exciting school initiatives. Join us for an evening filled with dancing, karaoke, a silent auction, delicious food, and great company. It’s a wonderful opportunity to support our school while having a great time! • MHS Band/Chamber Ensemble & Concert Band are fundraising to raise $40,000 to replace broken instruments that are over 40-60 year old. Please make your donation via Venmo (@mhsinstrumental).
• Montclair has a talented, energetic group of 35 young musicians who are taking the Mighty Mounties Marching Band back to the field! These students are working hard at practice and performances multiple days per week, but they need new uniforms, instruments, instrument repair, field equipment, and music. Help the Mighty Mounties Marching Band build community and make music. Donate today!

MFEE ANNUAL APPEAL / SCHOOL LOTTERY

The MFEE School Lottery is Back: Win $1,000 for Your School
Now, through February 28, when you donate $25 and above to the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE), you’ll be entered in a lottery to award a $1,000 educational grant to your favorite school. Two separate $1,000 grants will be awarded.

Be sure to “credit” MHS when you donate!

PLUS: This Thursday, January 30, all donations of $25 or more will be matched by a generous donor, up to $5,000.

MFEE is our town’s local education fund that supports ALL Montclair students, teachers, staff and caregivers. They benefit from MFEE’s inclusive programming, professional development, and educational resources. Check out some highlights from this year’s grants on our blog.
