A quick reminder that October 16 is our first official PTA meeting. We’ll discuss our budget and then vote on our budget. We need quorum in order to vote, so please make every effort to attend.

Join the Northeast community on Saturday, November 2 as we celebrate harvest festivals from around the world, including Festa Junina (Brazil), Eid (Muslim countries), Chuseok (Korea), Diwali (India), and Oktoberfest (Germany).

Experience music from all corners of the globe, lively dancing, arts & crafts, cultural performances, carnival games with prizes, and a tasty array of international dishes and treats. Tickets are $10/person or $40/family.

It will be Wednesday, October 23 from 7PM-10PM at Tierney’s Tavern. Single admission is $15, double admission is $25. We’ll share a link to purchase tickets soon.

If an event has a charge and you would like to arrange free tickets for you or your family, please email the Northeast PTA and we will help make that happen.

After School Enrichment (ASE) class descriptions and a registration link will be coming October 7. Keep your eyes peeled! Our classes will be taught by Northeast’s very own teachers and talented parents. Class offerings this fall include Improv, Digital Art, Checkers & Chess, Global Pen Pals, Mini Movie Production, Finger Painting, and more. Woohoo!

The PTA is proud to partner with Watchung Booksellers to gift a book to every Northeast student during their birthday month. If your child has a birthday this month, email their name, homeroom teacher, and grade to northeastptamontclair@gmail.com. We’ll respond with a gift certificate and details on how to get your book!

Bike Bus is a weekly group bike ride to all the Montclair elementary schools. Bike Bus happens Friday mornings and aims to make it joyful, fun, and safe to bike to school together. Just like taking the regular bus, Northeast families ride on this route and schedule and “hop on” along the way. To learn more, join the WhatsApp group and visit MontclairBikeBus.org.
