Meet the 2020-21 Northeast PTA Board!
Top left: Adeola “Ola” Whitney (Co-President) is a mother to three sons – one rising 1st grader, a rising 8th grader, and a rising freshman at Syracuse University. Ola has been an active member of the school community, spending 12 of the last 13 years at NE school. She spent the last two decades devoted to education equity and volunteers with organizations focused on this mission.
Top middle: Amy Prala (Treasurer) is the mom to identical twin boys starting 3rd grade in the Fall. She is a native of Montclair and a local real estate agent. She is excited to be a part of the Northeast PTA this year!
Top right: Candice Tasker (Education and Wellness Chair) is mom to rising third grader Logan, as well as Mikayla who is a senior at MHS, and soon to be four-year-old Carter. A newly established entrepreneur after a ten-year career in brand management and event production, she now juggles her time at home between children and building her own brand.
Bottom left: Chanel Gilmer (Vice-President) is a mom of four, including a fourth grader, second grader, and a kindergartner at Northeast Elementary as of Fall 2020. She is a public health nutritionist and is interested in equity and the achievement gap.
Bottom middle: Natalie Sullivan (Co-President) is the soccer mom to one son who is a proud rising third grader at Northeast. She is an advocate for special education/inclusion and immigrants’ rights. Natalie co-leads the Montclair Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) and volunteers with the MFEE.
Bottom right: Ursula Zoffinger (Secretary) is mom to rising third grader, Alex, and rising second grader, Nick. A former financial services and marketing professional, she currently works at home raising her two sons and is interested in educational equity and special education issues.
