Committee Mission
To identify and eradicate practices, policies, infrastructure and curriculum that result in harm, inequity, opportunity gaps and achievement among students within the Montclair Public Schools due to their race, gender, sexuality, language, religion, disability status or socioeconomic status.

Priorities and Key Initiatives 2020-21
- Review the current MPS curriculum
- Assist district with reviewing and administering new policies and programs that focus on equity and race
- Identify and review opportunity gaps within MPS
- Review and recommended trainings for all employees within MPS
- Review policies and practices of PTAC and PTAs that impact equity and inclusion
- As needed, recommend and present new trainings that focus on being an antiracist in the school community
- As needed, recommend and present new trainings on identifying inequalities and gaps in opportunities
