One of the major functions of the PTA is to fundraise to support our kids! Fundraising allows the PTA to organize educational events and student assemblies; plan social events for students and provide ways for families to connect with Watchung Elementary School.

Some of our on-going fundraising efforts include:

• Helping finally create a library!

• Funding a consistent and robust program of assemblies and author visits

• Satisfying all daily teacher classroom needs

• Offering complimentary PTA membership to all staff

• Funding mini-grants for larger classroom needs or teacher development on a case-by-case basis

• Enabling more field trips by funding buses

• Expanding the Birthday Book program

• Contributing to fifth-grade camping and graduation events

• Providing more scholarships for ASE and assistance for anyone in need for things like book fair, author visits, etc.
