Holiday Gifting December 2024
Gifting for Classrooms
Please contact the class parents for your child’s classroom for information on how to contribute to the class gift for the classroom teachers. Including the paraprofessionals in the room is strongly encouraged as they help out in the classroom in many ways which benefit all the students in the room and they are not included in the non-classroom teacher & staff gift. In some cases special education teachers are included in classroom gifting, your classroom parent will let you know if that is the case.
Due Thursday, December 19th
This is very much not an exhaustive list of what the individuals provide our children. Please help if you’re able to provide a gift which reflects our gratitude. The money will be (as in past years) divided equally among 37 individuals:
- the front office staff & administration who run the school and look after our children in so many ways
- the janitors who keep the building clean and safe
- the crossing guard who keeps our children safe
- the nurse who helps them when they need medical attention
- the security guard who looks after their safety
- the teachers for “specials” who teach our children Art, Environmental Science, Music, Physical Education, Restorative Justice, Spanish, and Technology
- the physical, occupational, speech therapists and specialized teachers who help our children build strength, gross & fine motor skills, emotional regulation and help our children communicate
- the counselors who help with social & emotional skills, family issues and crises
- the curriculum support and special education teachers who assist our children in mastering academic skills

Drop off is on Friday, December 20th between 9 – 9:30a
Every year CHB celebrates our teachers and the holiday spirit with a Cookie Banquet. Families bake or buy cookies for the teachers to pick out an assortment to take home.
