Teacher Appreciation Week:  Edgemont’s Teacher Appreciation week is May 20th-24th. For more information on what we have planned, click here.

There are several ways to get involved in thanking our teachers and staff for all they do:

• Bring in cut flowers to school on Monday or Tuesday. On Thursday, the PTA will be making bouquets to hand out to each teacher.
• Sign up to bring treats throughout the week here.

Your donations and support throughout the year helps us execute these events, so THANK YOU!

Calling all parents to volunteer at the best end of year celebration at Edgemont! We need your help to make Fun Day 2024 a success. This is our annual field day with endless fun (water games, outdoor sports, a bouncy castle, arts and crafts and more) and it will take place during the school day on Friday, June 7 (rain date June 14).

We need +50 parent volunteers for this day to be successful so please hold your work calendar and sign up here!  Note that sign ups are divided into time slots and you can see if you’ll be volunteering for K-2 classes or 3-5 classes.

If you can’t volunteer, you can donate. We need TONS of help to make this amazing day happen.

Edgemont Green Cleanup Day:  If you missed the last one, have no fear – Edgemont Green is doing another garden cleanup day on Saturday May 18th from 9am-12pm.

This time we’ll be focusing on:

• Creating a flower bed in the perimeter of the pollinator garden
• Planting seeds
• Re-finishing picnic tables

We are looking for parents to join next year’s PTA Board!

You Can Make Edgemont All It Can Be!

Help shape enriching experiences for our kids by running for the Edgemont PTA Board. We’re still looking for candidates for the 2024-2025 school year – especially for the Treasurer position. If you have any inkling of interest, please reach out! If you aren’t interested in being on the Board but would still like to get involved and help, email us! There are plenty of other opportunities and events to lead and we can find the right fit for you.

In honor of Earth Day, Edgemont Green is proud to announce that our first Community Cleanup Day is happening THIS Saturday morning!  Join us for a little garden therapy as we dig into some weeding in the vegetable garden and tackle a big cleanup in the pollinator garden.  We’ll have donuts, music and lots of fun!

• When: Saturday April 27th at 11am
• Where: Behind Edgemont
• Please bring your own weeding tools, shovels, hoes, muck buckets and wheelbarrows if you have them!!
• Please bring paper yard waste bags if you have any extra lying around.

If you can’t join us this weekend, please consider donating to our ongoing Edgemont Green Fundraiser that is still happening here.  So far, we have been able to replenish the vegetable beds with new organic soil thanks to YOUR contributions, so THANK YOU!!!  We appreciate the support – any dollar amount helps as we get the gardens back up and running.

The Edgemont PTA is reviving the Edgemont Green initiative and we’re kicking things off with a Garden Cleanup Day on Saturday, March 23rd at 10am.  Please join us and help us get the gardens ready for spring planting!  There will be coffee, donuts, music and crafts!
