MONTCLAIR, NJ – A new member of the Montclair Board of Education has been appointed to replace a vacant seat, officials announced.

Mayor Sean M. Spiller has appointed Allison Silverstein to the Montclair Board of Education to replace Anne Mernin.

Silverstein’s two children attend Montclair public schools. After moving to Montclair in 2009, she has served on the Nishuane PTA, the Special Education Parent Advisory Council, and the School Action Team for Partnership.
