The PTA has a partnership with Watchung Booksellers to give a book to every student during his/her birthday month. If your child’s birthday is in December, please email the child’s name, teacher, and grade to northeastptamontclair@gmail.com. We will respond with a gift certificate and information on how to get your book.
Dr. Putrino attended the PTA General Meeting on February 21st and shared that Northeast School is expecting a new technology lab with desktop computers for students to use during their technology period.
Upcoming Events and Volunteer Opportunities
- February 23rd- Bi-annual Gala to be held at the Montclair Art Museum at 7:00pm. See you tonight!

- March 15th – Geobee which will take place during the school day.
- March 23rd – Soccerthon, 3:00-8:00pm at Sports Domain Academy Clifton Facility – 1075 US-46, Clifton
- All NE students (K-5) are encouraged to participate in our annual soccer tournament – no experience or cleats required! Shin guards are not required, but encouraged.
- Each player will receive a country soccer jersey to wear at the event
- Jerseys will be distributed in class, the week of March 18th
- Sports Domain Academy (SDA) Trainers officiate the games and assist players
- Each team is assigned a country and Parent Coach(es)
- Heats last approximately one hour (ex. 1st Heat: Kindergarten, 2nd Heat: First Grade)
- Class with the most participation will be awarded a prize
- Pizza, drink and snack options will be available for purchase
- All children must be accompanied by an adult (this is not a drop-off event.)
- All proceeds from this PTA event directly supplement various programs that provide additional, educational opportunities for NE students.
Heat Schedule:
- Kindergarten: Arrival Time: 3:15PM, Game Time: 3:30PM-4:30PM
- 1st Grade: Arrival Time: 4:15PM, Game Time: 4:30PM-5:30PM
- 2nd/3rd Grades: Arrival Time: 5:15PM, Game Time: 5:30PM-6:40PM
- 4th/5th Grades: Arrival Time: 6:25PM, Game Time: 6:40PM-7:50PM
