Happy Long Weekend!

A reminder our last PTA meeting will be next Monday, June 2 at 6:30 in the Northeast Library. Please make every effort to attend as we’ll use some of our time to vote on next year’s PTA Board.

Sign ups are officially open! We have a goal of raising $10,000 for student enrichment like field trips, assemblies, scholarships, and more. Upcoming key dates:

• 6/3: Kickoff day. Students begin Castle Quest, a fun character-building journey with daily fundraising challenges.
• 6/13: Fun Run event. Baked into Northeast’s Field Day — every child participates.

Field Day is right around the corner and we need your help to make it amazing. Please sign up via the link below. If you can’t join, but still want to help, we’re also in need of water balloons — lots of them! Please email Melissa Mehl with any questions.

Let’s celebrate our rockstar Northeast teachers together! Join fellow parents and staff Thursday, June 12 for a night out at Tierney’s with live music, dancing, snacks, and a cash bar. Adults only — no kiddos. Grab your tickets below.

Bike Bus is Back! Bike Bus is a weekly Friday group bike ride to all Montclair elementary schools — it aims to make it joyful, fun, and safe to bike to school together. Northeast families ride on this route and schedule and “hop on” along the way. To learn more, join the WhatsApp group and visit MontclairBikeBus.org.

You can sign up here for Shop To Give, an easy way to support Northeast just by shopping as you normally do. It takes < 3 minutes to sign up and then you can automatically donate when you shop at over 25,000 local and national participating merchants.

The PTA is proud to partner with Watchung Booksellers to gift a book to every Northeast student during their birthday month. If your child has a birthday this month, email their name, homeroom teacher, and grade to northeastPTAmontclair@gmail.com. We’ll respond with a gift certificate and details on how to get your book.
